Applying for naturalisation of child born outside UK

Post by yogi_2020 » Sun Jan 29, 2023 9:32 pm

Hi All,

We (me, wife and son) all have ILR from last two years. my son is born outside UK
Now I have to apply for my SON naturalisation / citizenship application.

1) What form I need to fill up online.

2) I can see my son is eligible to apply MN1 as we all have ILR. I can not find link to complete MN1 form online.

Please help. many thanks

Your son applies for registration as British citizen - adults are naturalised form AN
1) What form I need to fill up online.
MN1 Online - https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... 1666111005

2) I can see my son is eligible to apply MN1 as we all have ILR. I can not find link to complete MN1 form online.
See 1.

Thank you alterhase58

when I try to use link suggested it gives me below options and none of them applies. I am applying for son only now. please suggest.

Thanks

Option as below in form.

Your parent is British by descent and lived in the UK or a British Overseas territory for at least 3 years before you were born

Your parent is British by descent and you and your parents (unless they are legally separated) are now living in the UK or a British Overseas territory

You were born on or after 13 January 2010 and your parent was serving in the UK armed forces

You were adopted abroad by British citizen parents

You were born before 1 July 2006 to a British father and your parents were not married

One or both of your parents is applying for British citizenship

Other - apply at the discretion of the Home Secretary
