Visit visa sponsorship for Sister family

Post by josekumar » Mon Mar 27, 2023 11:19 pm

Hi,

I am planning to invite my sister family to UK on visit visa for 2 weeks.

To support their tie in the home country they have properties on sister name and brother-in-law name and they are earning in cash so not reflecting that in the bank account.

To support their travel, I am planning to sponsor their trip and want to check if that's going to be any problem?

Your response is much appreciated. thanks

Supporting their trip isn't a problem.

Their wages not reflecting in their bank account might be a problem though. Essentially, they would be asking the ECO to take their word for it. Which isn't always ideal. If you say you earn X, then you must be able to evidence it. Every question asked in the form and answered has to be evidenced.

That is the nature of the beast.

thanks for the response. Yes they do have their IT returns and bank statement but not maintaining enough funds so support it planning to sponsor their trip.

Lets say you're willing to cough out £800 each (£1,600) for their tickets. There are a few questions that gets tricky to navigate;
How much do you earn?
How much do you spend on living cost?
How much would your trip to the UK cost you personally?

I hope between the pair of them, they have minimum £2,000 in their account.

As a sponsor, I have earning and savings in the bank account to support their sponsorship.

As a applicant, Both sister and BIL earns Rs40K per month and savings of £3000 in their accounts.

Their nature of the business is cash based so planning sponsor their trip to support it.

This looks promising. However, I hope that this said account is a personal account not a company account.

I.e Account Name: John Doe and not Account name: John and Jennifer Fashion Ltd.

There's a massive difference!
