Hi Members
I am asking one question on behalf of my friend.
My friend is a British Passport Holder, his wife got ILR, and his daughter (born outside the UK-10 years old) is currently on a family dependent visa.

Dad-British Passport holder
Mum-ILR
Daughter (Born outside UK & under 16 years old) - currently on family dependent visa

Can his daughter directly apply for a British passport? If not please suggest what next steps they need to follow. Thanks for your help.

Apply for her ILR, then apply visa MN1, either with friend's spouse on on her own (see "Children with settlement and residence" and "Children applying in line with parents" in https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... le-version)

Only a British citizens can apply for a passport - child is not British.
Children born outside the UK are expected to hold ILR before they can apply for registration as British citizen.
