Very urgent help please

Hi
I’m stuck in strange limbo I have made an application for flrm extension which expires 06-05-2023 I have an appointment for biometric 16-05-203 which is tommorow evening now I work as a cab driver and TfL have refused to extend my badge as they want to see the visa being granted joke cut story short
I know that biometric fees can’t be refunded as it’s too late
Can I cancel my current visa application and get a refund
Meantime can I make a fresh application and try for super priority visa ?
Some one told me that I can make another application without cancelling my current application as once ukvi received my current application it will be treated as vary and previous application will get cancelled automatically and I will get the refund quickly?
I m very confused which advice shall I follow?
And one more thing while I was filling the new application
It asked me did I have any application with home office
What shall I write yes or no ?
