Travelling while UK passport application is in process

Hi,

I need to apply for British passport now that my citizenship is approved. After applying for a passport can I travel outside country on another passport while UK passport is in process. I know that I will not be able to enter UK again but I will have someone from family in UK who can bring it to me.
