Post by Faisal2815 » Sat Jul 29, 2023 11:34 am

Hi,
I am on Skilled worker visa for 5 years (Tier 2 short occupation list). I am in UK since 3 months and now I want to apply family dependent visa (Spouse and 3 children). I this regard I want to know:
1. What would be the Visa Fee for Spouse and per Child?
2. What would be the IHS Fee for Spouse and per Child?
3. Can they apply for 5 years dependent visa as my Visa time has reduced by 3 months?
Your prompt reply would be very helpful for my further proceedings.

Best Regards,
Faisal

1
Total visa fee for dependants 4x£943 = £3,772
2
Total IHS for dependants 5x(3x£470 + £624) = £10,170
3
Your dependants will apply for visas of over 3 years duration and the expiry dates of their visas will be the same as on your visa

Hi,
First of all I am very grateful for your kind reply. Moreover I need to know that:
1. If I apply more than 3 years (about 4 years and 8 months remaining in my visa duration) visa for my family then at the end of that period I will have to apply the extention for few months to complete 5 years period ? Or I shoud now apply for 3 years and then 2 years extention?
2. How much amout should I save in my bank account to show that I can support my family of 4 ?

Best Regards,
Faisal

1. They will get a visa with same duration as yours. You can't apply only for a 3 year visa. For an extension, if you get ILR, they apply for a 3 year visa. You cannot choose the visa duration. It is set by the immigration rules

Hi,
I am on Skilled worker visa for 5 years (Tier 2 short occupation list). I am in UK since 3 months and now I want to apply family dependent visa (Spouse and 3 children). In this regard I want to know:
1. What would be the amount of money I should have in my bank to support my family?
2. If I apply my family visa for 4 years and 8 months (which is my visa remaining time) so after the completion of that period, I need to pay again for visa and IHS fee?

1. Is your employer not providing the maintenance funds requirements? Most sponsors are A-rated and they usually check the option on the COS. If your employer hasn't checked that and you had to show the maintenance funds during your visa application then you will need the funds. You can calculate that by following the amount given on this page. https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/ ... h-it-costs.
2. Yes, you will have to apply for 3 years extension for your spouse and kids which will require you to pay the visa fees and IHS (3 years visa extension). After they all have completed their 5 years, they will be eligible to apply for ILR which will again need you to pay for the ILR fees.

With the proposed increase in IHS and visa fees, it will be more expensive in coming months. (IHS is being increased to £1035 a year from £624 for each adult applicant)
