I don't know about this website and "dummy" tickets (don't even know what it entails), but if the information isn't verifiable, you may as well be denied a visa. I would suggest to get flights with free cancellation, if you're afraid your plans may change or you won't get a visa.
You can try to explain it to the consulate in cover letter (attaching flights/insurance/etc for a second visit), but as always, no guarantee. As your last visa was back in '16, you may as well start your visa history from scratch in the eyes of a consular employee and get a visa for a single entry/a month, so once again, be prepared.
We don't know. Depends on your circumstances and the consular officer's decision.adi27 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 4:33 pm3) Assuming #2 is not possible, how long can I expect the visa to be active. If we provide proof of travel for say 10 days, will the VISA be issued will be for only those 10 days or can we expect it to be active for few more days so that we can re-adjust our travel dates if need be.
Same as above - no set dates. From 2 weeks to several months.
What's the difference? You first scanned your passport and then printed out the pages? No issue, if yes.
As said here europe-immigration-forum/tourist-visa-s ... 39221.html , if you're sponsoring your spouse, you need to provide a letter stating it and have additional documents like employment letter. Check the list of required documents on the website.
I don't know how it works in Spanish BLS, but usually you bring your printed application form to your appointment - can you not change the application form with correct dates/hotels before you go to the appointment?adi27 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 4:33 pmI also realised that I have not mentioned parent/guardian details for our child. Perhaps it was a genuine miss from my end or may be the form did not show the option. However, when I took the print out, I see that section as blank. Can I manual fill it in with a pen before submission at VFS and perhaps also mention about the miss in the covering letter?
Should be fine.adi27 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 4:33 pm9) For my wife and child, I had to create two separate applications using different email accounts and phone numbers as the system wasn't allowing me to book two separate appointments in case both the applications are added under same account and as family members. Strange, but I asked their help centre and they have given me a vague answer to try and do it through separate email accounts. Will this cause any problem for our applications to be considered as related?
Flight itineraries are required. Not confirmed tickets. People confuse the 2 together. Itinerary shows when you plan to travel (enter the Schengen region) and return (exit the Schengen region).1) Are dummy flight tickets and insurance acceptable form of proof of travel e.g, those bought from third party weblink removed by moderator?
Your spouse would need to submit her original passport, photocopies of your passport would need to be added to the application. Your spouse might also need to go with your original for visual.5) For photocopies e.g passport all pages, will they accept a print out instead ?
That varies depending on the embassy, so be careful with that.
Round-trip ticket booking (airfare, bus or cruise) stating the name of the applicant.
I'm yet to see someone that got rejected because they put an itinerary instead of a confirmed ticket.meself2 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 10:41 amThat varies depending on the embassy, so be careful with that.
Spanish embassy wants the tickets:

None, as people I've spoken to decided to adhere to requirements by the letter. If you have a successful case of someone going just with the itenary - great stuff, absolutely.
But if applying in London the requirements change - they specifically want the tickets.Purpose of travel/stay
Reservation confirmation of an organised trip or any other document describing the planned programme.
Reservation of a return ticket or travel itinerary.
IMO it's better to do what embassy asks.Purpose of travel/stay
Proof of travel. A confirmed return ticket to France (plane, ferry, bus, etc…).
Reservation confirmation of an organised trip or any other document describing the planned programme.
I have to disagree. I applied for a visa 1.5 months ago myself, enclosed confirmed tickets (were more expensive with cancellation options, but for safety sake). Couldn't go as planned - got a full refund, no hassle.
