Dependant Visa : Skilled Worker

Post by vt59 » Fri Aug 11, 2023 7:41 am

Hi All,

I am currently on a dependant visa of skilled worker but my spouse has got ILR now.
I have to apply for my visa extension as my dependant visa is up for renewal next month. Which visa should I apply for as I am not eligible for ILR yet.

Is there a ILR dependant visa or should I apply for skilled worker dependant visa?

Thanks

Skilled worker dependent visa. It will be a 3 year extension.

Switching visa category to ilr dependant would reset you 5 year ilr clock to zero and a new 5 year path to ILR.

Hi All,

While filling up the dependant application form for Skilled worker (my spouse is on ILR).
It asks for the main applicant details :
1.UAN of main applicant
2.SOC of main applicant
3.Certification of Maintanence by employer or not of main applicant

Since my spouse changed jobs after securing ILR, even then I need give all the 3 details of my spouses previous Tier 2 visa?
I'm confused because SOC and maintanence by Employer might have been valid for Tier 2 visa but not relevant for ILR which is the current visa.

Thanks

You give the soc and cos details of your last tier 2 sponsor.

I am in the same boat as you. My spouse has now received ILR, but I am still a few months short of my qualifying period and I need to extend my dependent visa.

I was advised by my wife's employer to use her ILR UAN. Her ILR sponsor letter also had a SOC code.

Maintenance is not required if you have been living in the UK for the past 12 months.
