Visa in process - 28 days rule

In country SWV extension with new employer:

Job start date as per CoS (new employer) - 1st November
Visa extension application to be made (normal) - 20th October
Visa Expected - end of November/ early Dec.

If 28 days passed from CoS join date.

Can processing lead time work against me (as priority option not used) or oblige Employer to update the SMS system?

Honestly, I am actually looking to get some time away from work to enhance my skills and gain certifications and processing times (6 / 8 weeks) work in my favor but I do not want complications just for this reason. Especially at the end of 5 years where there may be approximately 2 months unpaid gap in employment.
