Employer License and cos validity

Hi,

If the employer license is expiring next year December; can the employer issues a cos for the worker for more then a year? or is it limited to the license time?

second question. If the cos has the wrong name, can the employer just put in the cos note or would they need a new cos? cos note used to be a thing few years back or is it finished now?

A COS can be issued for a period beyond the expiry date of the sponsor license.

As long as the name is a typo / misspelling a sponsor note should be fine. The other details such as date of birth and passport number all being correct
