March 2005 Applicant - approval in about 1 week

Post by denden » Fri Mar 18, 2005 4:23 pm

I called the HSMP team today, and found out that my application was approved! :D

This board has been extremely helpful, so thanks everyone.

Here's some info on my application and timeline that may be useful to others:

Date application received by HO: March 9, 2005
Credit card charged: March 9

1st conversation with HSMP: March 16
They said my application was being worked on, and should be decided within a couple of days.

2nd conversation with HSMP: March 18
They said my application was approved and I got 75 points. They also said the approval letter was sent out on the 15th, which is strange because on the 16th they told me it was still being worked on. So I'm not really sure on which day I got approval.

I'm an Out-of-Country applicant
Field: Finance

I applied for the following points:
Education - 25
Work Experience - 25
Past Earnings - 25

One other point: I submitted certified, notarized copies of my degree certificates, not originals. However, I also submitted original Certficates of Attendance and Degrees Awarded from the universities I went to, as additional proof.

Congratulations Denden.

All the best for EC or FLR (depending on whether you are an In country or out country applicant ) :)

Cheers

Congs man. i think that is the sped of decision making these days. Just a pity there are still many last year applicantions not considered.

Thank you.

The number to call is 44-114-259-1894.

It is very hard to get through, you have to keep re-dialling.
I had to dial in rapid succession 10-12 times before I reached them. Other people have said they had to try about 30 times.

However, it is not impossible, you just have to be persistent. I don't even have automatic redial, so I had to key in the numbers by hand each time, and I still got through.

Good luck,
denden

p.s. The people who answered were pretty nice and polite.
