Can you apply for an extension more than once...

Has anyone here applied for a Tier1 extension more than once (and has been approved)?

HI,

Can you be more specific, what do you mean by applying more than once?

You mean subsequent application after rejection?

I mean the 2-year extension of the visa after the initial 3 year stamp. Has anyone successfully applied for a second 2-year extension?

Hi USAapplicant,

Since, Tier-1 (General), scheme has came into force only last year(29 February 2008) nobody as of yet would have finished 3 years of initial grant to be eligible for extension.

Yeah but it is comparable to HSMP and there have been numerous cases of multiple extensions.

Is there any official guideline for more than once extension of Tier1 because if somebody moves after a month of getting tier 1 he will be still sort of 5 years continuous stay to apply ILR if he is not allowed to extend more than once.
Guys in forum pls paste such guideline if found in official site.

this is true, if you want to get ILR , you have to be at least 5 years in UK , but even with the extensions it will make in total 5 years and I don't think nobody comes to UK as soon as they get the visa.So I believe most of the people will be in sort for 5 years and need to apply for a 3rd extension ?

As HSMP is not that old nobody has applied for the third thing yet. I hope there should be a provision for that otherwise everyone should come within the first month.
