family and private life in the UK Extension

Post by Randhawa18 » Mon Jan 01, 2024 5:11 pm

Hi,

I have a question about the requirement for an extension of the private family life visa application.

It is the first extension of my wife's visa, which she got on the basis of our British-born child.

The first-time solicitor submitted her application, but she did not submit English-language proof or any maintenance bank statements.

Please tell me the mandatory documents, and are the English language test and bank statement necessary for the extension? If yes then which test and how much shouldbe in the account?

LAST DECISION PARAGRAPH: You submitted an application for limited leave to remain on the basis of your family and private life in the UK. I am writing to inform you that you have been granted a period of 30 months limited leave to remain on the ten year partner route under paragraphs D-LTRP1.2. of Appendix FM to the Immigration Rules, as we are satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraphs R-LTRP1.1.(a), (b) and (d) of these Rules. You may be eligible to apply for settlement after completing at least 10 years under this route.

Thanks

No you don’t need to provide English language test or financial proof if you’re applying under FLR FP. This is a generic form, also used by FLR FM applicants that’s why you see this in question.

Also, do i need to show my salary or bank statements for the last six months, or not required?

Thanks

Yes this is correct application form and there is no obligation to submit financial proof but I did anyway.

I am again confused about the visa application.

My wife's visa will expire on 12 March, 2024. Can she apply for an extension before 31 January 2024 to avoid a new IHS payment?

Please tell me when she can put the application on the earliest date.

Thanks

You can apply for extension any time.
It is your responsibility though to ensure you don't end up with a shortfall of days towards ILR time.
In your questions you have not indicated when she got her first visa on this route, when was this?
