Dear Sir and Madam

I need help from respected forum members and Gurus. My brother applied joint Universal Credit. His wife getting PIP due to mobility issue (she had 2 back surgeries). Universal credit form one column says need 4 weeks 'Fit Note' from GP. If her GP refuse to give Fit Note then what she do. Can her husband eligible as single for Universal Credit.

Please need your kind help and advise.

The GP should not refuse a fit note if she’s had back surgery. She needs to be assessed for work capability and he needs to claim carer element if she gets daily living PIP. It must be a joint claim if both eligible.
