Travel before Skilled Worker Visa Extension

Hi,

Our first 3yrs Skilled worker visa expires on 18th July 2024. We have to travel to India next week (15th April) and returning back to the UK on 31st May 2024.

My employer has not issued the CoS yet. So, i will be applying for extension once i am back on the 31st May.

When i enter UK on 31st May, i will make sure i have the CoS printed with me to assure i am all set for extension to the Immigration Officer.

We will have over 7 weeks until the current visa expires. Full extension process is on me, no external agency or solicitor from my employer involved.

Can someone PLEASE advise if i will face any other challenge while entering with a visa which would expire in 7 weeks (but i will still have the extended CoS with me)?

Should i be prepared with any other details or documents?

No need to print out a CoS or any other document. A CoS is used to apply for a SW visa only, has no relevance to re-enter the UK.

The only thing you need to travel abroad and re-enter the UK is a passport and a current BRP.
