Spouse Visa on 5 year route - two jobs past 6 months

Post by Bucki » Mon Apr 08, 2024 10:29 pm

Hello All

Hope you all are doing fine.
It’s been a while but thank you for all your support.

With all your advise and support, i managed to get Spouse visa and settlement and british passport for my partner.

I am here to seek advise and clarification for a friend of mine:

- she works at two different take aways past 6-7 months
- first job earns around £1100 per month
- second job earns around £660 per month

It is the Category B she needs to go for, right?
She has no other previous jobs.
I think the 660 is cash in hand.

- is that still OK to apply for 5 year route
- will the cash in band be OK or needs payslips only ?
- does it have to be at least 12 months ?

Pls if u can advise
Planning to apply before the 11th the new rule!

Thanks

The rules commencing tomorrow 11th April 2024 will mean that financial requirement will be £29,000 which is £2417 per month income requirement. This is set to rise further to about £34,500, and by early 2025, it will reach approximately £38,700

Hence you friend will no longer meet the financial requirements beginning tomorrow.

Also, for cash in hand, if she has no payslips and the exact salary payments are not deposited in the bank, cash in hand job will be totally disregarded and not taken into account for the financial requirements.

Hello

This question was raised here a few days before the change.
The application bas been sent already!

Question was if she can use 6 month payslipts from two different employees. Yet the form was mentioning that 12 month payslips is required!

Under category B 12 months of payslips and the matching payments to the bank account would be required.
If she did not deposit the full amount of cash she received into the bank then the payslips/income is disregarded.
