Critical Skills - Want to quit

I am on Critical Skills Visa with a very lovely company with lovely pay and lovely work. I feel suffocated every minuter here and I want to quit to find a new job. I tried all sorts of things to make my mind and stay but it is not going to work for me for the long run.
I am currently 8 months done here, and they are still not approving my probation period and making me work pointlessly.
I want to quit asap, what would be my options, can I find another job soon? Will they give me 6 months period after I quit?

I have not yet seen someone's permit being curtailed after they left (the only instance I've seen is when someone mistakenly canceled a CSEP, but DETE took a year to process it); most likely they'll just let your CSEP expire.
If you find another job before current CSEP expires - good; if not, well, you have to return home.

Oh wait, I thought CSEP will be cancelled by the company when we quit and we won't be given the 6 months extension as it's not the case of redundant. I might be wrong though
