Second Pregnancy with skilled worker visa

Post by Loveteddybear » Fri Apr 19, 2024 10:11 pm

Hi, I am currently on skilled worker visa and its granted in 2021 for 5 years. In 2022, my first baby was born. I took 39 weeks maternity leave and got the SMP as well. I am now planning to have the second baby, is there any impact on apply for ILR if I have another 39 weeks maternity leave?

Because I will be able to apply ILR next year, just worried if there is any impact. Thank you all.

I dont think it is considered break in employment. Mitigating circumstances are considered. For now dont worry about ILR, just enjoy your second pregnancy and take care.

Maternity leave is treated as being in employment and does not impact your ILR.
Hope everything goes well with your pregnancy and don’t stress about your ILR
