safeguard and support email from HO

Post by samwise1 » Wed Apr 24, 2024 9:34 am

Hi All,

I received this email from HO yesterday and wanted to know if it's normal, as I've never heard from anyone before that they have received it.

- Plus, Obviously, the question is, do they even help, or is it just a standard tick-box formality?
- Does it indicate what stage my application will be at if someone has gone through a similar process? (FLR-FP as a spouse)

Regards,

What do you mean by "this email"?
Not a qualified immigration adviser. Use links and references given to gain confirmation and/or extra information.

Apologise, I should've put an extract of email:

Email Received:

Thank you for your application for leave to remain in the UK as a spouse.
We are wanting to safeguard and support yourself and your partner. In order to do so, we
require the following information:
- How is your current mental health?
- Are you currently taking any medication or undergoing any treatment for your mental
health?
- If yes. please list any prescribed medication and dosage.
- What are the details of your UK GP including address & phone number?

Please respond to this email as soon as possible.

Once this information has been received, we will be able to pass the case back to the Decision
Maker to continue with the consideration.

Presumed they are going by what you have inputted in application and or support letter and or documents that has triggered this.
Provide an honest detailed response to what you are asked .

DO NOT REPLY TO THE EMAIL - this is not a normal e-mail and the Home Office does not routinely contact Doctors. Not their role and they would need your formal consent to contact the Doctor

Hi Frontier,

After your red flag, I checked with the solicitor team, And they showed me that it came from a legit home office team (AO– FLR(M) Decision Maker) (Marriage and Family | Visa, Status and Information Services) (FLR M Safeguarding). Plus, the email has a legitimate HO reference number for my application.

They didn't take any consent yet, so I'm assuming it's at the moment confined to just finding out which GP we're registered with, etc
