Student Finance(maintenance loan)

I have a quick question.I am british citizen and my spouse and three kids are on dependent visas.I have started a course and getting student finance(maintenance loan).My question is
1.Will that effect their extension as they are NRPF(is student finance a public fund?)?
2.Can i use Student finance (maintenance loan only) as part of financial requirement?

No. It is NOT public funds for immigration purposes. It is a LOAN, that has to be repaid.

No you cannot. It is a LOAN, not your money.
