Skilled Worker additional work as Self-employed

Dear Members,

I am currently on a skilled worker visa and working full-time. Is there any announcement from the home office that skilled worker can work part-time without same occupation code after 4th April 2024?

You could not work outside your SOC at any point now or in the past.

Hi All, I got mix information on skilled workers allowance of additional work as self-employed. Can anyone please confirm if SW can work as self-employed as long as he is doing full time work for his sponsir.

Self-employment is generally not allowed under the Skilled Worker visa. This is because self-employment implies running your own business or working on a freelance basis, which falls outside the scope of the conditions for employment under this visa category.

Dear Kman12, Home office does allow 20hrs work for own business as long as we are doing the sponsored job. Can you please have a look on it.
