Renewing Passport

Hello,

My son is 24 years old, British citizen from UK born mother. Current passport renewed 2020 valid til 2030, Burgundy without "European Community".

The entire family is renewing passports except him.

Although not required, can he renew to get the new passport design? The real reason is to synchronize with the rest of family for future renewals.
