Previous Earning query

Hi,

I am planning to apply for UK Tier - 1 general in Feb. I had a query about the previous earning clause. They have mentioned that I can show 12 out of 15 concecutive months for claiming the points. Since I will be applying in Feb the salary slips that I am planning to show are from 01-Nov-2007 to 31-Oct-2008. Can I show the salary slip's for the duration mentioned above or should it be 01-Dec-2007 to 30-Nov-2008.

Hi,

The period that u have mentioned does not fall within the 15 months period prior to the application date. In your case, the difference between the application date and last date of previous earnings period is 15 months. I will suggest you to not take any risk and either consult someone who can give you water tight advice, or be on the safer side and bring your earnings period 'within' the last 15 months from the date of application. And anyway, even if you apply on 01/02/2009, it is a sunday, and even a day later, your earnings period with fall out of 15 months.

Hi,

If you are applying in the month of February 2009, it is advisable to take your earnings period starting from 1st Dec 2007 to 30th Nov 2008.

the claimed period from Nov 2007 is only possible if you apply befoe 1st Feb 09 ie. post your application today 29th Jan and it is with HO tomorrow Friday 30th.

If you apply in Feb 09, you can claim from 01 Dec 2007. 15 months back and should be 12 continous months... hope that makes sense.
