E visas for ILR stamped on passport

Hi ,

My friend has residence permit stamped on passport issued in 2011

He has been travelling with it till now. That’s a non expiring ILR stamp.

What happens in the eVisa process. How should he apply for eVisa? Any guidance appreciated.
