HI,
one of my worke mate is on 2 years spouse visa, but his wife abuse him a lot, they are having so many kickoffs, due to stress he got high blood preasure and kidney problems now, he is also abused for money and she always texting him to and treatning him to kill her self.
what will happen to him if they seprate? is he need to go back if give her divorce? what kind of evidences he need to prove domistic vilonce, text messages, voice recordings of his wife abusing him, we all work mate witness that he get broses so often as she beat him some time and also she kept his passport?

If they separate his visa will become invalid and he will have to return to his country of origin nor will he be able to get his ILR as he won't meet the requirements for that.

Has he tried reporting the abuse to the police?

no, no police is involved yet, as he is scared they might send him back, what he can do, yes he got medical record that due to stress he is having medical problems,
