Maintenance Funds - confusion

Post by schindler » Mon Feb 02, 2009 11:47 am

Hi,
I have already applied for my HSMP extension and anxiously awaiting the result.Meanwhile i have started to worry about the maintenance funds section.

The part which makes me anxious is this : 'For applications made either in the United Kingdom or overseas, all evidence must be dated no more than one month before the application is submitted.'

I might be unduly worrying but please check my details below and let me know what you think

Date of application: 26-Jan-2009
Earnings Period Claimed: from 06-Jan-2008 to 06-Jan-2009
Maintenance funds claimed for 3 months: 06-Oct-2008 till 06-Jan-2009.

I have submitted my bank statements for the period from 06-Jan-2008 till 18-Jan-2009 and i have maintained the required maintenance funds from 06-Oct-2008 till 18-Jan-2009.Before 06-Oct-2008 i did not maintain enough funds.

So I am Ok or is there any problem in my maintenance funds section? Please advise

That looks OK to me. Your application was submitted within 1 month of the final date on your evidence of maintenance funds and you say you have managed to maintain the required balance in the three month period immediately before that. I think you should be OK.

This is what my cover letter says:
Maintenance – 10 points
I have maintained the required funds for myself and my daughter (800+533) for the past three months. I have maintained so from 06-Oct-2008.
For my wife I have attached her own bank statements which show that she has more than 533 pounds which will count towards her maintenance requirements.

It is perfectly ok. You should not have any problem.
