I am an EU citizen (Slovakia) with a non-EU husband living in UK. I have been here since March 2005 in employment, for the first year via the Worker registration scheme, and as of May 2006 I have a residency card, my husband received it in November 2006. This would mean that I could apply for PR in May 2011. However, we had twin babies last March and since then I have been on maternity leave: 6 months company, 3 statutory and now another 3 months unpaid leave which would finish 1st March. My employer allows me to take another 12 months unpaid “child care breakâ€
