ILR AND DEPENDENT

Post by aikmonaikmon » Wed Feb 04, 2009 1:01 pm

Hi,
I am HSMP holder and my wife is holding a dependent visa. I am applying for ILR this week.

If my application for ILR is successful, must my wife apply for FLR(M) or can she still hold her current visa?

Please do let me know if you need further info.

Thank you
Sai

Shouldn't she be applying for ILR with you? Wait for someone else to confirm this.

Who told you that? I am sure, When you are applying for ILR, your wife will also get ILR as long as she applies with you.

Knowing more of the background, I would go with John's advice.

Applying for settlement under the Long residence rules (276A-276D) is different to settlement under HSMP (135GA).
