cert of naturalisation

anybody here made their oath last decmber 10 and still waiting for their certs.bloody more than month now and im still checking the post box everyday-----no sign :evil:

yes i made my declaration on Dec-17 and got my cert last week, Jan-27.

I've done the oath and sent the letter mid January and I've got the cert today.
A laminated A4 page with my photo and only in Irish.
It took 3 years and 6 months to get the cert since the day I've applied in August 2005.

Remember you can request INIS to provide you with a copy of the certificate in English (in case you want to have a copy in English).

The copy in Irish is obviously enough for most porpuses (e.g. for getting a passport).

WHEREAS the undermentioned applicant has duly applied to the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform for a certificate of naturalisation and has supplied the particulars set out hereunder and has satisfied the Minister that the statutory conditions in relation to the grant of a certificate of naturalisation to him/her have been fulfilled :
NOW, the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act, 1956 , grants to the applicant this certificate of naturalisation whereby as from the date hereof the applicant becomes an Irish citizen.

so it takes 4 weeks after u sned the court certifcate ?
How long it takes after u get this cert to issue Irish passport too ?

I would say that that it takes 6 or more weeks to get cert (it takes 30 working days according to INIS). Once cert is issued your passport will be issued to you in 10 days if you use anpost passport express service. More information on it below.

I got my certificate yesterday by registered post. It took more then 6 weeks ( 35 working days)

I got my approval letter on the 24th of Feb, took the oath on the 6th of March, and posted all document the next day, which was on saturday. In total, it took over six weeks.
