Dependent visa - applied on 29th DEC

It has been 5 weeks now that I have applied for my (new born) daughter's visa but neither the fee has been deducted nor I've received acknowledgment letter. As per my past experience they would deduct the fee within 3-4 days and then followed by the letter.

Has this happened to any one else or I'm the only unfortunate?

I'm stuck and worried about my application package as it contains most of my original documents that I can't afford to loose.

Please share your experience.

did you send your application recorded?? if yes, check with Royal Mail.. and HO..

Yes, it was sent Special delivery - Royal Mail confirms that the package was delivered to DARLINGTON but HO is not responding at all, not by phone nor emails.

Don't know what to do next.

Hi Mate,

I applied for by son's visa on 9 Jan2009. Received acknowledgement on 13/01/2009 (and payment was decucted same day). But still waiting for the passport. I phone them today and they said application is still not processed.

You can call them at 08706067766 and qoute you special devlivery no to get an update.
