B1/B2 Visa valid for travell?

Post by rockyloveday » Fri Feb 06, 2009 3:50 pm

hi,
i applied for US visit visa for 20 days in sep 2005. At interview they stamp my passport with received application and return it to me with a refusal letter states my application is sent to Washington DC for further considerations, Later on in Nov 05, i received a letter to send my passport to us embassy London, i did and they issued me, B1/B2 visa for 5 years valid till Nov 2010.
Well i was student at that time and was busy in studies never got chance to visit us.
Now i am not student any more, and working as operations manager, i am planning to visit my uncle in us, just wonder if can still travel on same visa or need to re apply,(as one of my friend said it invalid if u never travelled on it in 6 months of issue)

if it still valid than what are chances of entry refusal at us airport as have got no sponcer letter and my uncle is sick(kidney problem for 2 years) he is us citizen, i got my own bank statment and payslips?

If the visa is still valid, I see no reason why it cannot still be used.

But maybe ask here for a second opinion:
