case out standing for 17 weeks,please help

HI EVERY BODY,

I HAVE APPLIED IN OCTOBER 2008 FOR TIER 1 GENERAL(IN COUNTRY).AND NOW ITS MORE THAN 17 WEEKS I AM WAITING FOR ANY RESULT.A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE GETTING THEIR PASSPORT BACK AFTER 3 TO 4 WEEKS NOW A DAYS.I DON,T KNOW WHY THEY ARE TAKING TO MUCH TIME IN MY CASE.
I AM CLAIMING 35 POINTS FOR MY MASTERS IN UK,5 POINTS FOR UK EXPERIENCE,AND 35 POINTS FOR MY PAST EARNING FROM MY HOME COUNTRY BEFORE I CAME HERE IN UK FOR FULL TIME STUDIES.THEY CALLED&CONFIRMED FROM MY PREVIOUS EMPLOYER IN MY HOME COUNTRY BEFORE 2 MONTHS,BUT AFTER THAT THERE IS NO NEWS FROM HOME OFFICE TILL NOW.

IF ANY BODY IS CLAIMING POINTS FOR PAST EARNINGS LIKE ME FROM THEIR HOME COUNTRY PLEASE LET ME KNOW ABOUT YOUR CASE,OR IF ANY BODY APPLIED BEFORE PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH ME.

KINDLY PLEASE TELL ME IF ANY ONE GOT ANY IDEA ABOUT IT,THAT HOW MUCH TIME I HAVE TO WAIT MORE.CURRENTLY I AM UNEMPLOYED BECAUSE IF I AM GOING FOR JOB SOME WHERE,THEY ARE ASKING ME TO SHOW PASSPORT.
I WILL BE VERY THANK FULL FOR YOUR USEFUL ADVICES .I AM GOING TO CALL HOME OFFICE FROM TOMORROW.BUT I JUST WANT TO ASK FROM YOU PEOPLES THAT,TOO MUCH LATE LIKE MY CASE.IS IT POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE?

WHAT WILL BE THE RESULT OF MY CASE

VISA OR REFUSAL

How long have you been in the UK?

I have similar situation as yours. I applied on 15th Dec and still waiting

It seems that they have forgot abt your application.

Don't worry and try to force HO to process your application urgently.

If they're asking to see your passport at job interviews, you could request the UKBA for urgent consideration of your application.

Thanks to every one for yr replies.i am in the uk for 4 years.i have send them two urgent treatment.but i dont know what they are doing with my application.g am going to chase them by pfone from today.please share your ideas with me,and also pray for me. mitho

Isnt ther e a Time limit as to how long they can take to process an Application?

This is rediculous...

I've heard the max process time is abt 13 weeks but obviously its not the case here.

I would call HO and ask them the progress...its about they respond to you.
