Baby citizenship once we all get ILR

Just want to confirm if after getting ILR we can immediately apply for citizenship for our baby who was born in UK or does he need to wait for same length of time as us. As we are not really interested in applying for citizenship but as the rules change every month just thought it will be good to apply citizenship for our baby. Also if anyone knows that if we decide to go back to India afterwards what will be the visa status of our baby in India. Many thanks in advance for your advice.

You can register your child as a British citizen once you get ILR.

Once registered as a British citizen if you aare thinking of going back to India either for good or for a long duration, it is advisible to get OCI/PIO for your child as this will allow the child to stay in India without any time restrictions.
