Changing nurse job within same employer on work permit

Hie I was wondering if anyone could clarify something for me. I have been working as a nurse on band 5 in the same unit for the past 4 years and I am still on a work permit. I was recently offered a post within the same employer (an NHS trust) as a nurse but at band 6. Also I will have to go and work at a different unit although my employer will remain the same. Do I need to apply for new permission to work??

Hi Rose,

Did you receive any information about your situation (Band 5 to Band 6). My wife is working for NHS as a Band 5 on a work permit (valid until July 2011) and she is applied for Band 6 in the same unit. Will she need now Tier 2 or she can continue to work as Band 6 on the same work permit.
