Month Calculation for Tier 1 Maintenance Funds

Post by dfurletti » Fri Feb 27, 2009 9:43 am

Hi All,

Wondering if someone could clarify something for me.

How do the HO calculate the 3 month date range for the maintenance funds requirement?

I am submitting an application in australia with the dates 17th December 2008 - 18th March 2009, will this suffice?

Thanks,
DAve

Your bank statement should not be older than 1month prior to the date of application. Assume that your are submitting ur application on 20/03/2009 . Then last date of the statement should be 20/02/2009( approximately 1 month) . Assume that 20/02/2009 is ur last date of ur application , ur 3 month period can be from 20/11 to 20/01. Hope this clarifies
Coming to ur case , 17/dec/08 to 18/03/2009 is perfect .

Dave...

17th December 2008 - 18th March 2009 is OK...

But be sure that that is the last date on the Bank statement you are sending to the HO...

Becos if u think 17th December 2008 - 18th March 2009 is my funds dates and you send HO Bank statement few days later to it like 25th Mar 09 than based on the last date of the statement from Bank HO will consider Fund dates from 24th Dec 08 - 25th Mar 09...

You should have sufficient funds in the latest/ last 3months...

the dates that will be listed on the statements will be 17th dec - 18th March, what implications will it have if i send my application off later? say the 20th?
