Rejected 15th July Application - urgent processing

Post by ap2004 » Tue Apr 05, 2005 11:15 pm

Hello

I have been awarded 25 points only against my expectation of 65.

1. Education - 0 points

I have done double MBA from India. I had sent the mark sheets and letter from Naric about India MBA is equivalent to UK masters Degree. I didnt send the certificate indicating degree awarded by univ as NARIC letter was supplied. They said they are convinced that degree is awarded. If I have passed the final exams, Univ will definitly award the degree. I dont know hwy do they think otherwise. Thats why 0 points and not 25.

2. Experience - 25 point

Awarded only 25 against my expectations of 35. They are not convinced that I have specialist experience. I was working as Senior Buyer in PC manu. company still didnt award 35 points. No body was reporting to myslef but it is Senior level position in organisations in UK.

I am not sure how to convince them about my senior level experience. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

3. Spouse's graduation - 0

same as point one.Didnt submit certificate indicating degree awarded as NARIC letter was sent.

I want to apply again. Please advise.

thx

Sorry to hear this.

Before commenting on the subject, How was your application expedited?
Had a Job offer? Urgent treatment letter? or just called them to fast track it?

I would suggest you send atleast provisional certificates for the above two MBA degrees. Also a University certified letter clearly indicating your academic progress.

Good luck and send these additional docs along with your appeal for reconsideration.

Sorry to hear about your rejection. Unfortunately it seems they wont consider points for education if you don’t supply the actual degree or notarised copy of it. You said you sent a letter from NARIC saying that India MBA is equivalent to UK masters? Did you send YOUR MBA to NARIC for confirmation of its equivalence or was this this just a general letter from NARIC? Again your problems in the spouse section are the same as in your academic section, you need to show the degree etc. It also helps if one is claiming masters points to include a copy of the Bachelors qualification. What proof did you send to show your experience and how many years experience do you have.

your mistake was avoidable. The fact that NARIC's letter stated that India's MBA is equivalent to UK MBA DOES NOT proof that you have an MBA! You need to forward your certificate or a notarised copy to HO for you to be awarded points in that category. HSMP guidelines are quite clear on what the HO requirements are.

gd luck

Hi ap2004,

I think HSMP Team wants to see your original degree and transcripts. These days they dont ask for additional documents. They simply reject the application so that the applicant.

They are aware of the fact that NARIC requires only photocopies of the transcripts and degrees for assessment. NARIC makes a decision based on the photocopies.

So if you can provide all the trasnscripts and degree next time then I believe they will provide you full points for education.

I had job offer since Nov2004. I had sent the experience certificate to show my senior level experience.I can send my MBA and wifes degree certificates but will they accept this with review letter. Also ,what extra documents do i need to show that my experience was senior level. I have 8 years experience in procurement field. I was working as Senior Buyer for 3 years in UK out of that. This position is senior Level position in Company but not sure how to convince HSMP team. Please advise immediatly.......time is running out.

thx ap20004

Transcripts are not equivalent to a degree, the person assessing your credentials needs to see a degree.
You can not send additional documents as part of the review, you have to go to a paid review and it would add time.
With the speed they have right now, it might be better to start all over, with the appropriate documentation, YOUR DEGREE and the one from YOUR WIFE plus evidence that you have lived at the same address for at least 2 years, send evidence of living on the same address at least every six months for the past two years, that way you avoid delays.
You need to make life easier for the person reviewing, if they have to think, they will deny the application, if it looks different it would delay the process.

Hi!

Why do You know that You didn't got 10 points for spouse because of non-recognising her educations and qualifications? It was stated in the decision letter?
They couln't award 10 pts because of living together proof - the weak point of every application claiming points for spouse.
