Tier 2 (General) - What happens if employment ceases ?

Post by blimpyboy2 » Thu Mar 12, 2009 7:11 am

Hi all,

I looked for the answer to this question everywhere, but couldn't find it.

What happens if I cease to be employed by my sponsor ?

Is there a certain amount of time I'll have to find a new sponsor ?

Thanks

What happens if I cease to be employed by my sponsor ? your visa will be cancelled as requested by your sponsor.

Is there a certain amount of time I'll have to find a new sponsor ? During the WP days it was 28days probably it still is...others may pitch in...

Thanks

Its 60 days ..or none if you have less than 6 months of leave left.

See Tier 2 Policy Guidance page 14 of 45, Paragraph 87.

Thanks.
If the applicant has less than 6 months of his/her leave remaining, we will not curtail this leave.
Sounds like if you have less than 6 months of leave left, you can remain until the original length of the visa expires.
