a bank stamp??

Post by barbaraf » Mon Mar 16, 2009 9:25 pm

My husband will apply for the Tier 1 general visa and he has two original signed letters on letterhead from two banks, each of which certifies that he has had sufficient maintenance funds in each account for the past three months.
But our banks don't have an "official stamp." Has anyone else dealt with this? He's applying in two days, so a speedy response would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Bank without their stamps . it looks funny .
They must be lieing .

1) Better than letters best is if you have the monthly statements
statements should have logo and name of bank , ur name , account no and issue date .

2)

i dont think if they give a letter from the Bank on bank letter head , they need a stamp also .

3)

other option is online statements with stamps on it . But if your bank has no stamps , it needs stamp on it .

Looks like bank is playing . Talk to bank manager threaten you will close the account . they will get the stamp ..

The bank letters which you mention should hold good as they satisfy the below clauses. Stamp/Seal is not necessary if the letter is on letterhead.

The letter from a bank or building society should show:
* the applicant’s name;
* the account number;
* the date of the letter;
* the financial institution’s name and logo;
* the funds held in the applicant’s account;
* that the funds of £2,800 or £800 have been in the bank for at least three months and the balance has always been at least £2,800 or £800, as appropriate.
