Can Tier1 General Visa be extended more than once?

I shall be entering UK after 6 months from my Visa was stamped. So, to complete 5 years or more under Tier1, I may need to extend my Visa more than once. Is this possible staying in UK?

As of rules today yes you can extend your visa more than 1ce to qualify for ILR.

Well, you kep extending your visa(FLR) till you reach ILR..And mind you, you might have to do it 2-3 times as UK might increase the no. of ILR to 8-10 years .So considering that you get extenstion for 2/3 years ,you will have to extend it 4-5 times till you reach ILR(provided UK hasnt changed the rules by then)
