[Skilled Independent] Passport validity

Hi there,

Could anybody please tell me, for how long my passport must be valid before I can lodge the application for Australian skilled immigration?

For example can I lodge my application now if my passport will expire in February 2010 (approx 11 months from today)?

Hi Aaron,

There is no requirement of the passport validity at the time of the visa application. What you need to know is when a new passport is issued you have to fill in and send Form 929Change of address and/or passport details to DIAC.
