HSMP(non-JR) extension underTier1 - Maintanence funds query.

Post by ravi6666 » Wed Mar 18, 2009 12:28 pm

Hi,
my initial HSMP visa runs out on 23-April-2009. Me and my wife( one dependant) have to apply for tier1 extension.
I am maintaining balance of 1333 pounds(800 for me + 533 for one dependant) from 29- Dec- 2008 onwards only.

I am planning to apply on 30th March 2009, so that i can show minimum balance from past three months.

is it ok if I show the bank statements from 30-Dec-2008 to 30-March-2009? or shall i wait till 31st of March and show bank statements from 31-Dec-2008 to 31-March-2009 to be on safe side?

Please let me know,
Thanks in advance,
kiran

Kiran,

It should be fine to show from 30 Dec 2008 to 30 Mar 2009. Ensure that you provide them original statements. If not available, get it on bank stationary as per guidelines.

In the guidance it is mentioned that three months prior to the date of applicaiton so if I apply on 30th March they will see 29th Dec - 29th March,
But my balance was below the requirement limit on 29th Dec morning , and on the same day after I got salary paid,

So will it be a problem ?
please let meknw
Thanks
Ravi

oh my god, thanks for the reply, April 4th is too late i think, i will apply on April 1st. So date of the application will be the date posted ie on April 1st.

I will got to the bank on 1st April and get the statements , So i can tell them to check Jan , Feb and March statements..

Thanks,
Ravi

I think the statement will show a closing balance for a particular day, so you should be (theoratically) alright. I would think you only have problem only if the closing balance goes down even for a single day, the intra-day low balance should be fine (as long as your bank statement does not mention transaction time on it).

Better still, wait for few more days, if you can.

Yes thanks, As I am maintaning balance from 29th Dec onwards, I will submit my app on April 1st. so past three months should be Jan 1-31 , Feb-1-28 , March 1-31.

so I still have balance on 30th and 31st of December.. who would be safe..
