Application Approved 6th April 2005
Points Claimed:- ( Total 90 as follows)
PhD 30

I am highly thankful to each and every member of this forum for their useful contribution on this board. I hope that this forum will remain a light house for future applicants.
Now I am gearing myself for EC.

Congratulations!!

Did you during this time i.e. between July 04 and now request the hsmp team to consider your application early or something like that or did it happen in its normal course

thanks

Congrats to you Aromated, nice to see some of the long time members of the forum getting thruogh. all the best with your EC.
Just a question, as you already have a PhD, what was the canadian visa for? and have you decided where you are going to go

Dear Chess, vp73 and f2k,
Thanx to all of u.

vp73, I have just enquire about the status of my application telephonically.

f2k, I have filed for canadian immigration under skilled category two years ago and now I have got student visa. The idea was to get professional canadian education so that I can comfortably establish myself after getting PR.

Dear aromated,

May I ask what did you claim as your 'significant acheivement' and its related proofs.

Thanx

Dear aromated,

Thank you for ur reply. Just need ur assessement on my case, do you think I can claim 'significant acheivement(s)' based on:

1- 1 publication in Intl journal + some appraisal letters from industry, professional bodies, editors and professors etc. about the work.
2- 1 publication in a national journal (peer reviewed as well)
3- 3 publications in conference proceedings (non reviewed)
4- Scholarship for masters degree (abroad) [well no gold medal :D though]
5- Co-author of a edited book chapter (Published by a US publisher)
6- Presentations in International conferences

I am confused with wether I should claim only one particular piece of work as 'acheivment' or several works asmentioned above.

Can you help me out pls.

Regards,
