Passport status

Hi,

Some information needed.

If the main applicant has single status on the passport but is married(because he forgot to update the status on his passport) will that be a problem for tier 1 application.

He is applying for dependant VISA also on behalf of his wife

The only problem is he hasnt updated the status on his passport and it still shows single. What can be done in this situation and he needs to apply before april.

It shouldn't be a problem as far as he provides explaination in cover letter along with Marrriage Certificate.

But make sure you have got the following docs to support your case(just to be more safe):

1. Marriage Certificate is required for sure...
2. Attach few marriage photographs of u n ur spouse with different people in background (4-5snaps) are enough
3. Because you will expalin ths in ur cover letter add one more supporting doc like Marriage invitation (incase you have ur both full names in the invatation..

Points 2& 3 on safe side n to make ur case more stronger..
