Dependent visa - travel penalty fair paid

Post by Visa_Novice » Sun Mar 22, 2009 11:41 pm

Hi,

my wife once has been caught for travel without valid ticket on overground and she has paid the panelty fair after a month(Before the due date of the panelty fair to be paid). Is it something she might get get her visa rejected by ?
In this case she has not commited any crime...I suppose.

Kindly advice.
Many thanks.

I would you say better check with Home Office before you apply. My wife's visa was rejected with 320(7a). she was arrested for an unfortunate incident(shoplifting which she dint commit) and was cautioned and let off. She was neither convicted nor penalised also she was not even awaiting any trial. And we have answered questions 6.9, 6.10 in VAF10 application form as No.

In my wife's case it was just a panelty fair that we paid on time.
Also the panelty fair letter does not mention my wife's name correctly.
I made the payment using my debit card. Can it create problem for me?

Also, even after doing that she has just got dependent visa of work permit holder in India and travelled to UK .

Hi Visa ,

Did they take your wife to police station and made a FIR or anything .
Else dont worry .

I was caught on road fighting with some drunk guys and police took my details and just warned me .

My lawyer says unless convicted or resgitered as an FIR , nothing to worry .

I also made a quick check with disclosure scotland and it came clean with 0 registered cased etc .

Only if convicted or a FIR registered then it is an issue .

Yours is a silly offence man . You also paid fine . forget it .
You were not arrested also .....Just forget

There were no arrests

There were no convictions

Penalty was paid

Hence, no problems.

P.S. - This is not a case where someone was caught stealing and was cautioned and then let off.
