French Citizenship

Hi All ,
I am marrying my French Fiance this Saturday and was going to apply through EEC1 for my UK Residence Permit . But I was also wondering what are the rules and requirements to acquire French Citizenship ?
Some of the websites give information but I am sure I would find an answer in this site ...

In most EU countries, you'll have to show proof that you have been married to your European spouse for at least three years before you can get a citizenship based on marriage. This means that if you marry your fiance now, you'll be able to apply for a French citizenship only after three years.
