HSMP extension - which is date of application, date posted or

Post by ravi6666 » Tue Mar 24, 2009 3:54 pm

My intial HSMP visa is due to expire on 23rd April 2009 .
I am planning to apply HSMP extension on March 31st.

HSMP guidance says that there should be 3 months min balance prior to the date of application.

1) I am just wondering which is the date of application.
Is that date which is post the application? or is the date when they recieve the application.

2) As i am maintaining balance from 30 Dec-2008 only
So if i post the application on 31-March-2009. Is it ok if I show the balance from 30-Dec-2008 to 30-March-2009 or else wait till April 1st

please let me know
Thanks,
ravi

1) I was told on the phone with the UK Border Agency that the date is the date of postage.

2) I would have thought 30th to 30th would be right as that is 3 months.

The date of application is the date of posting (if sent by Rotyal Mail) or the date they receive the application (if sent by courier).
