Dependant visa must change or not?

Post by lionfly » Thu Mar 26, 2009 1:25 pm

I am holding Work Permit visa, expiring in 10/2012. I am looking to change employment, which will involve the change of "leave-to-remain". Because the system now only issue a 3-year visa, so the visa may be changed to expire in around 05/2012, earlier than my current one.

My wife's current Dependant visa expires in 10/2012.

My question is: Must my wife's Dependant visa be changed along with mine?

Can we just leave her visa alone? without the change with mine together?

Dependant visa should match with main applicant
Tier 1 (G) to ILR

Your wife is your dependent and you are on WP. So if you change your status from WP to T1 it will override WP and same applies to your dependent...

Also did you check on the extn rules on the T1?
