hello matt, what letter did u receive without payment processed? the ACK letter is usually processed after the payment is cleared isn't it? any one can confirm?

I have no idea but the payment hasn't been deducted out of my account yet. However, I know that sometimes with my credit card a payment can be processed but doesn't show up on my account for a few days.

Application applied: 28th of march
Application received: 30th of march
reference letter: not yet
fee debited: not yet

I'm not sure about what's happening regarding the fee thing, as it looks it is going to take longer than in usual, probably because there are of applicants this month. i'll update you with information as soon as i hear from HO.

thanks very much for your reply and i'm really really sorry about what happened to you, and i'm sure you have all the right to re-submit your application under the old rules, and i was really worried after i read your story so i phoned the bank straight away and they confirmed that Â£750 fee has been debited from my bank account but it sometimes takes a few days to appear on my bank statement so i'm relieved now, god knows how much i'm stressed out

thanks again, and all the best in your application, and to everybody, I'll keep updating this as soon as i hear anything from HO.

Considering that 19 Feb applicants have started receiving their approvals, I am hopeful to hear back from HO by 1st Week of May.

Pl keep posting the progress of your applications. Its difficult to imagine whether the no of apps in March will be higher or lower than earlier.

lets also explain our applications so that all of us know each other's apps -*

BA in hospitality from napier uni in 2007 - 30 pts - original degree and letter from uni

Â£27249.00 salary - 25 points - bank statements + last statement internet printout stamped by bank and cover letter and original payslips with employer letter

uk experience - 5 points - original uk payslips and letter from employer

age - 20 points - original passport and dob certificate

english language - 10 points - degree tought in english - original degree and letter form uni

maintenence req - 10 points - bank statement from 20/12/2008 to 23/03/2009 and letter from bank confirming that the balance has not dropped below Â£800.00 in the period - the last statement is an internet printout attached with a ;etter from bank and stamped on every page!

hopefully there is nothing wrong with my application and i should be fine!!

App Sent - 23 March
Payment cleared & Acknowledgement (Ref no) - 26 March
Employer verification (call & email) - 23 April
Employer responded - 23 April
LTR approved (& with effect from) - 24 April (Friday)
Despatched by Sp Delivery - 27 April (Monday)
Received - 28 April

Tier 1 LTR issued for 3 years.

- Application was quite straight forward
- Urgent treatment requested on 20 April by Fax (on account of business travel)
- The assessing team seems reasonable in considering valid requests and processing promptly.

Awaiting further correspondence.

Technically your app should be considered as per 27/03/09 but I'm assuming that's the date you get on royal mail's tracking service. Home Office might deem it as received on 27/03/09. I realize you're asking cos applications submitted till the 26th are being reviewed this week but I'd be patient and wait another week. All will go well inshAllah, best of luck.

Your application should be considered as per 26/04/2009 according to UKBA guidelines on their website: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... owtoapply/

If you apply by royal mail, date of postage is used as application date.

congratulations..

the home office website now says they're considering cases received on and before 28/03/2009.. they've just moved 2 days forward this week.. i guess it's because a lot of people have applied before the new rules came into play..

i called today and was told my application is "still being processed".. the guy didn't tell me if it's under consideration or under further consideration, which is the reply most people get judging by posts on this forum.. anyone else got approval (first time application)..?
