hi everyone i am a regular guest on this forum very helpful.
i applied for my PR on june 2nd ,2008 received COA on 7 august 2008.
after 7 months of wait i contacted my MP to see if it can speed up my application.
Unfortunatly i didn't happen as the HO response was that i have to wait.
On monday 3rd march 2009 i sent an email to the complain dept and then Bingo.
4th march 2009 HO sent me a letter apologising and reassured me that my case will be allocated to a caseworker
6th march 2009 caseworker requested some documents which i received on the 12 march 2009.
16th march 2009 document sent
27th march 2009 passeport received from the HO.
I advise to veryone is as soon as your application reach 6 months send a complain email as in my case triggered the process.

The home office told your MP that you had to wait? Wow - what cheek!

I agree. In fact, I would recommend complaing (or more accruately pointing out that you are aware that they must take no longer than 6 months) starting at 5 months.

They are not legally allowed to take longer than 6 months, and in reality it should usually not take one month to get a Residence Card.

hi billi
i have been ask payslips and bank statement showing salary that all.
my advice for any new applicant always add a self adress special delivery envelope with your application.
Then when the case worker send it back you do receive it quicker otherwise i think they use SMS courier which sometime delay the delivery.
good luck
