Papafaith,

Time does indeed fly - it only feels as if you arrived in the UK last week and you are now due for renewal

Well, you should apply any time within 2 months of your initial Visa expiry date - as per current rules

Your list includes manyunnecessary documents - keep it simple Bro.

The folowing items as per your list would be appropriate: 1, 2 (dont you have a switch or credit card?), 3, 4, 5, 6 and 15.

No harm in including the other documents but they are not really necessary - approval will be straight forward

Good Luck - Naija Bro. 8)

Hi !

I was advised by the HSMP Customer Service to apply four weeks before the expiry of my visa.

You got a comprehensive list of documents. 1,2,3,4,5,6,10,11,15 are good enough to get an extension

How did you get item no 16 ? Did you make formal request to IR to assign a tax code ? You reply is appreciated.

Good luck on your extension

Hi Everyone
They have mentoned different dates at different places so i decided to confirm the date with HSMP customer Service and they advised me to apply four weeks or one month in advance.

Quote

You should apply for an extension to your HSMP a month before your
current
permission expires.

You can apply more than a month before the expiry date, however,
extending
your permission early may mean that you fall short of the 4 years
required
to be eligible to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain.

The current turnaround time for extension applications is about 3
weeks.

Unquote.

Now no matter whats is writen on any of the sites, when HSMP customer team says this, i feel that should be an end of this topic.

Bombay, my 1year visa expires June 30th, i applied for extension on the 3rd of May, i got a reply today 6th of May acknowledging receipt of my application. 3rd May is 3 days short of two months, so who is insisting on one month to expiration?
